Trinity Women’s League is excited to present our 4th Annual Gala, which will be held at Heritage Springs Clubhouse on September 21, 2019. Thanks to our incredible community sponsors, last year’s Gala was a huge success, raising over $15,000 to feed hungry children in our community. This year we are inviting our guests to glitz up the evening to an even higher level with our exciting theme:
Masquerade Ball
This year the Members of Trinity Women’s League chose to benefit Fostering Hope Florida. Fostering Hope’s mission is “to partner with the community to create a compassionate system of foster care that honors and protects the rights of children.” There are currently 35,000 children living in foster care in Florida. Many of these children will remain in the foster care system for more than three years and may be placed in up to twenty foster homes. Sixty-six percent of these children are under the age of ten and siblings are often separated from one another indefinitely.
Fostering Hope Florida works hard to ensure these children have a loving, stable, and nurturing environment for them to thrive during childhood and beyond. They accomplish this through a variety of programs:
Hope Houses – provides a traditional family setting with 4+ bedroom homes offering foster parents and children an environment with support and oversight where siblings can live together and don’t have to move from home to home.
Foster Kidz Closet – when children are placed in foster homes, Fostering Hope provides new luggage, to replace trash bags, packed with new clothes and necessities. Additionally, the Kidz Closet provides gently used clothing where families and children can ‘shop’ free of charge.
Fostering Connections – connects teenage foster children with positive mentors who help them develop and achieve independence as they grow, so when they age out of the foster system, they have confidence and direction and can become assets to their community.
Hope Village – creates public awareness and connection with the community to find solutions to challenges in the foster care system.
Special Events – children are vulnerable and those entering the foster system are often scared and feel abandoned. Fostering Hope Florida holds events to celebrate children and remind them that childhood can still be fun, even when life feels uncertain.
Our 4th Annual Gala will focus on raising funds to help the Fostering Hope organization further their mission through these programs. With your support and sponsorships, we can ensure that these children have a better chance at a more stable life in foster care and a promising future beyond it.
